2010 Small Forward Rankings

The small forward position would be very deep in this class if Domnique Ferguson and Justin Martin would not have transferred. Even with their departure, it is still a deep position for low D1 players and D2 prospects.

H=High major H- = High major Stretch
M+ = Mid-major, higher possibly, M=Mid-major, M- =Mid-major stretch
L+ = Low major, higher possibly, L= Low-major, L- = Low-major stretch
D2=Division 2/NAIA /High Level D3
D3=Division 3


1. Russell Byrd 6’7 Blackhawk Christian H Long-range shooter, solid quicks. Weakness=handles. Commit to Michigan State.
2. Jordan Manual 6’8 Howe M+ Long, streaky shooter, decent athlete. Weakness=motor Commit to Detroit
3. Daniel Turner 6’6 Mount Vernon M Strong, decent athlete, good touch around the basket, good motor. Weakness=range. Commit to Wisconsin-Green Bay
4. Khristian Smith 6’4 Pike M Long, good athlete, streaky shooter. Improving especially since the summer.
5. Neal Beshears 6’6 Winchester L Slasher, good motor, rebounder, solid shooter, very long. Weakness=strength and finishing strong in the lane.
6. Chris Welker 6’4 Zionsville L+ Strong, good motor, fundamental in the post. Weakness=quickness. Commit to Army.
7. Christopher Bond 6’4 Bowman L Can guard a 3 or a 4 because of his length and jumping ability, quick laterally, good off the dribble.
8. Robert Kitzinger 6’6 Carmel L Shooter…ability to handle the ball, but he doesn’t look to attack off the dribble very often.
9. Leland Brown 6’4 Noblesville L- Solid athlete, good penetrater and finisher.
10. Andrew Rudakas 6’5 Wheeler D2 Strong, physical, good motor, decent set shooter. Weakness=quicks, handles.
11. Scott Lascowski 6’4 Carmel L- Kind of long, decent motor. Weakness=handles, shooting..
12. Justin Gill 6’6 Munster D2 Overall solid game, will mix it up, good rebounder
13. Giovantae Hazelett 6’6 Howe D2 Athletic, good finisher around the rim, can rebound out of his area, strong
14. Dzenan Mrkaljevic 6’7 Hamilton Southeastern L/D2 Good jumping ability, good laterally, can handle the ball a little bit, good form on shot, not very aggressive looking to score. Overall good skill set though.
15. Michael Deines 6’3 Noblesville D2 More explosive off the dribble than he looks, strong, can finish inside with power or finesse
16. A.J. Adams 6’4 Jeffersonville D2 Strong body, solid athlete. Needs to improve offensive game.
17. Zach Apolos 6’4 Knightstown D2
18. Dustin DeMuth 6’3 LaPorte
19. Rich Leslie 6’4 LaPorte D3
